Practice with storytelling via Digital Art

Hurrah! I just found out that something bad/life altering isn’t happening tomorrow. AND my process video ACTUALLY SAVED THIS TIME. So I can properly share how I arrived at this image.

What I wanted: to create the “story” of a scary/imposing red cathedral-like structure. I’m really bad at applying certain angles in my art, so…I looked at a bunch of references to try and see how perspectives changed/what was creating the mood.

Anyways, it sort of worked out. It doesn’t have great definition of features…but I think it passed the vibe check for what I was trying to practice.

Done in Krita (free program); total time = about 1.5hrs.

Also I’ve just been crying my eyes out all day. So uhm. IDK how to change my life, but I’m not out of the woods yet. So if you like this video, please share/comment/engage.

I also have a fiverr gig up for novel formatting, which can be found here. My prices are low because I’ve never offered services to others before, so I’m trying to build up a portfolio. When I get WooCommerce set up on my website…I’ll offer it there, too.

I’d also like to offer book art/character art, even though I’m not sure if my skills are fully there. But if you like my art, and are looking to commission some…please reach out and let’s figure something out?
